What is the focus of Celebrate - Children's Ministry Curriculum?

We want children to lead big expansive lives, grow up to be big people that lead and influence in every area of their big lives. Believing in a big God and making a big difference!

Released on 13 October 2017, Celebrate BiG Curriculum is a large group/small group children’s ministry curriculum with a 9 lesson format, each theme explored for 3 lessons at a time. This set is the first release for our Season 3 collection.

BiG Picture: CHRISTMAS MYSTERY

BiG Word: “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.”

Lesson 1
BiG Idea: Mystery of the Messengers
BiG Point: The mystery of Jesus is good news.
Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this lesson children will:
- Learn that angels brought a message to Mary, Joseph and the shepherds about the mystery of Jesus.
- Discover the clues in the Old Testament about Jesus' birth.
- Know that Jesus came at the exact right time in history to bring salvation for all.

Lesson 2
BiG Idea: Mystery of the Manger
BiG Point: The mystery of Jesus is God With Us.
Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this lesson children will:
- Learn that God became man, Jesus Immanuel - God With Us
- Know that Jesus came so we can be saved from sin.
- Understand that King Jesus came as a baby!

Lesson 3
BiG Idea: Mystery of the Star
BiG Point: The mystery of Jesus leads us to worship Him.
Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this lesson children will:
- Discover that the shepherds and the wise men came to worship Jesus.
- Understand that we can come to Jesus in worship.
- Learn that the wise men followed the star to seek Jesus.

At the conclusion of this lesson children will:
- Know that the symbol of the cross represents God's love for us.
- Understand that God showed His love for us through Jesus.
- Discover ways to tell others about Jesus.

Lesson 2
BiG Idea: Palm Sunday
BiG Point: Hosanna! King Jesus is worthy to be praised
Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this lesson children will:
- Learn the story of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem
- Know that Jesus is the King of kings and worthy to be praised.
- Discover the events that led up to Jesus' death and resurrection.

Lesson 3
BiG Idea: Easter Sunday
BiG Point: He has risen!
Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this lesson children will:
- Know that Jesus died and rose again.
- Understand that we are saved from sin through Jesus' death and resurrection.
- Celebrate that Jesus is alive!

- Take time to honour their father or a man in their life.
- Know that God is our Heavenly Father.
- Discover some great dads in the Bible.

Lesson 3
BiG Idea: Communion
BiG Picture: A time to honour Jesus
Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this lesson children will:
- Learn what the elements of communion represent.
- Take time to remember what Jesus did for us when He died on the cross.
- Discover the first communion, the last supper that Jesus shared with His disciples.
